Drifting RC's ?

I do stupid chit with my maxxes and savages all the time. But never have damaged any of them to the extent of the touring car after hitting a rock or something at hi speed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It really hurts when you drive one into your shin. Really, really bad. I'd bet at full tilt you could break bones.

Ever seen the worklog of the car they broke 100mph with on an airport runway?

Or the nitrous experiments? Really cool stuff for car geeks, radioheads, and the like. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yep , that's Mr. Kyosho's ( Steve Pond ) car . Believe it was one of the larger HPI touring cars . Can't remember the name right off hand. But they are larger that 1/10 scale and smaller than 1/8th. Never been to keen on the nitrous idea . If I want a speed boost, I just use higher nitro percentage fuel. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

At my local track, the same guy has taken the MT class two out of the past three years running a bone stock maxx 2.5. Most of the younger guys want to make thier trucks go as fast as possible, then get on the track with it and find out it's too fast to handle. Consistency is a killer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Every once in a while, we'll get crazy and switch it around so we have a drag strip front stretch 200' long . About three 1/4's of the way down the front stretch is a 4' table top . With a 100' straight leading to it landing it on the track becomes a challenge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Talk about expensive, chat with those helicopter guys sometime. Wow!

Dabbled in them about 10 years ago . Uh uh no more for me . I like the challenge of flying them. The price of the parts when the copter got the better of me was a little hard to swallow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
