Drifting RC's ?

He speaks the truth; These are no Tyco 12v cars. These are top end HPI / Team Losi / Associated cars with matched cells, expensive servos, and more tuning than your average Porsche.

Nitro drift can be done, but aside from the powerband issue, which is a major one, the weight distribution on nitro cars is all off-kilter.

A lot of times the wheels and tires are custom made; PVC, Duct tape, all manner of hacks to pull off a good drift car.

Be prepared to spend a thousand bucks if you wanna play.

.. and uh..

HPI RS4 Nitro 3Evo for sale, includes five custom airbrushed bodykits.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You don't just "get" one of them. Trust me on this one as I've run on-road, off road, track and oval cars from most of the names out there (associated, traxxas, hpi, ofna, kyosho and losi just to name a few). The key to an RC drifter is you are going to want it to be electric, as nitro has an actual powerband and you cannot sustain a fluid increase in throttle to control the angle. You'll want to have ABS or PVC tires (abs is better, has more grip), hard springs in the rear and soft in the front. 4WD touring cars are best, my electric TC3 was set up for drift until I sold it a few months ago. Your motor should be neutral on the turns, as lower turns won't allow you to apply quick bursts of throttle like you need to alter your angle, and higher turn motors are usually shitty. Beyond that, it just takes forever to get it done properly, and even longer to master the technique.
OK so where can I get one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ive seen plenty of rc vids and all, but if it wasnt for the people in the vid, and you just showed the import cars, i would almost put money on them that it was actual real people drifting

Or, airbrush //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The paasche was a gift, and that's not going anywhere. The Iwata though, that's my own purchase. No bottles, I only have propellant and hoses. It was 140 when I bought it, though they don't make it anymore. Dual action only baby. Let me know, I used it once and have been using the paasche since now that they don't make it any longer (want to keep it in good condition).

You can get the Revolutions still. dixieart.com, etc etc

Is the Paasche a VL? I already have one of those.

Dude, Lemons; ditch the propellant; You can get a decent compressor from Harbor Freight for around $90, will keep you sprayin all day long //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You can find me @ airbrush.com forums or westcoastairbrush.com
Can I see some of your work? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hpi and I believe kyosho or tamiya are now making rtr drift kits . IT's really, really big in Japan right now . And they tend to lead the rc world. I've got a brushless factory team tc4 that can do some serious drifting . I think it drifts better than my factory team ntc3. I'm more into hte offroad world though as all of our local tracks are offroad. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
