Door speakers cutting out when I connect the amp.

Also, I didn't leave the speakers connected to the amp because the stereo would turn off until I unplugged the wires again, and if I left them connected it would start burning, and the amp would turn off

Lol. The money I was going to spend on the wiring kit went to the new deck I had to buy because the other one burnt yesterday,

Ah, alright. I'll buy a wiring kit tomorrow for sure just to make sure if this is or wasn't the issue. Thanks for the heads up.

Do you know of any stores that sell that same wiring kit that you just posted or a better one? I'll be running 2 Type Rs powerd by 2 alpine mrp-500 amps and a 800 watt amx audio thunder elite 404 amp for the door speakers.

Lol. i'm just starting out, and it seemed like a good idea. I disconnected everything now before the rest of my system ends up burning. I'll go ahead and order the kit tomorrow, hopefully it solves my issue.

I've been trying to upload a video of what is going on but it is not letting me. I've already compressed it into a rar archive.

Edit: it's not letting me because the size goes over the limit, so I'll just upload to rapidshare.

First of go get some speaker wire. Next make sure when u do let's say the front stage both front speakers are 100 percent disconnected from thethe head unit. Im pretty sure you said that you left the negative on from the headunit? That would be your issue along with your lamp wire

ok i discoonected all my back and front speakers from head unit so far i try hooken the back only to the amp but almost their i can hear music with the rca cable only then i connect the back speaker to the amp and then from the head unit wire back peaker i connect only one wire and its music i didnt connect both head unit wire because when i do that it turn off or their no music at all my amp ligh turns on on the short?the only one wire i think its the positive i only connect so that the music can be hearing true its weird is it? if i try connecteing both + , - it short off and my short light on my amp turn on . but i have gotten a lil closer to fixing it their something im doing wrong? am i suppost to connect the speakers>>>amp>>>> head unit? like this?
