I don't what to do if I should raise the output volts from the soundstream bx 15 from 5volts to 10 volts because my amp takes up to 8 volts if I run it higher will I get a cleaner signal or what I don't know just curious
As far as I know the only advantage to higher input voltage is the amps ability to understand it. Lower voltages make it harder to the amp to understand how intense it needs to be and frequencies as more distinct. Not to mention that with higher voltage preouts if the RCA offer some small resistance there is still plenty of voltage when it gets to the amplifier...I could be wrong though. What I am really interested in though it what you have that you can vary the output voltage on that will interface with the input voltage on the amo...

In theory, it would be the same thing as turning your gain too high for your current input. You would need to turn the gain all the way down for the higher input but you still would not be able to turn in down far enough because the amp is not designed for that high of an input and something would fail as a result of this.
