Don't be a tree hugging ***, sign this ****ing petition

At what cost? Ruining the wildlife reserves? I'll pay extra for gas if I can be assured that a renewable fuel source will be there in the future.
But while you choose to, some don't get that choice. Some can't afford the higher prices, and your "don't hurt the wildlife reserves" thinking just helps drive them further down to poverty.

Great thinking I say :/

I don't get you tree hugging hippies, how many times have you visited these wildlife reserves that you speak of?

I don't have to visit wildlife reserves to know that if they are destroyed, animals will die. Call me what you will, but everything has the right to live on this planet. Just because humans CAN do what we want doesn't mean we should.

It is that logic that created the materialistic world that we live in now. If everyone was more conservative and thought about the impact EVERYTHING they do has on others and the planet, we wouldn't have as many of the problems that we do.

hippy

I remember when I was a kid living in south texas near houston. All I saw around my house was oil rigs. Where did those all go?

oh yeah, america sucks now. That one time "go get em" sentiment has been replaced by a glutonous nation of importers.

I don't think we should go destroying ecosystems without considering the consequences, but it is not uncommon for flora and fauna to be driven to extinction by other animals or by nature itself. Preventing natural extinction interferes with the natural order of life, too.

You can take solace in knowing that if we are doing something bad, we will eventually have made the planet unlivable even for ourselves and a new breed of animal will become dominant.

After all, we're just animals, too.

Sometimes being conservative is being liberal. Using metal silverware and ceramic plates instead of plastic to cut down on the amount of plastic we are burying in the earth every day is a small change but if everyone did it, we wouldn't have nearly as much waste.

I'm not a hippie, but I do believe that it is our responsibility to treat the world that we live in the best we can. Is has only taken a $100 years to trash a planet that has been around for billions of years, yet people are still acting like everything is ok.
