There is enough oil in the U.S / Alaska for many life times. Please get your facts straight and stop listening to the government that twists facts. Thanks!

First of all, read what I said: I said that there is not enough to make a meaningful impact on the price.

Second, the US currently has a proven oil reserve of approximately 21 billion barrels of oil. At the current rate of consumption, the US would use this up in just over three years (assuming no foreign oil is used).

There are estimates that horizontal drilling in the Bakken Formation will result in as much as 5 billion more barrels, but again...that's only another ~8 months or so.

If you have facts that counter this information, please present it.

Honestly, the planet will recover. We won't. I'm quite convinced everyone is better off without humans, so I'm alright with a speedy decline of the human race at the hands of our own destruction.
I agree with what you're saying....I'm just thinking really, really long term.
