The spat began when Lee questioned Eastwood for not casting African-American actors in his two World War II films, "Letters from Iwo Jima" and "Flags of Our Fathers." Mr. Lee noted that there were black soldiers present at Iwo Jima but not in Eastwood's movies. Mr. Eastwood fired back, saying in an interview that black troops were not involved in the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima and also suggested that Mr. Lee should "shut his face."

some blacks/hispanics in commercials and movies seem a bit forced
I agree, it is the most entertaining when the time slot or program the minority directed commercials are shown at all the wrong times. Nothing like a Latin pointed McDonalds commercial during a hockey game or an add with a hip hop music bed in the background during a golf tournament. It is rare, but when it happens it really does seem forced and stand out.

I'm starting to notice a pattern here, LOL. Eastwood is waaaaay better.
I'm not saying Lee is better then Eastwood...I doubt anyone can ever come close to having as much as an impact on cinema than Eastwood has..but Lee has made his share of good films..
