So i rememberd That i told my buddy I set a goal of 5000 views of this thread before I start building the subwoofer box... Looks like I hit the nail right on the head!
Started cutting drawing/cutting at 12:00 pm and it is now 2:47 here. Taking a break finally, its only 97 degrees out but feels hot as hell when you have little shade.
I got all the rip cuts done and a few precision cuts, But Id say im about 3/5 done cutting all the pieces.
Found a new technique formyself when cutting with a skill saw because sometimes u cant shove a 50"x41" piece of mdf on my tiny saw stand.
This has been used before by many other members but I used to just freehand as straight as i could than take it to the saw to clean it up.... well I cant adjust my fence to 50" inches so i have to be as accurate as i can with the skill saw on these long pieces.
I just took a leveler and clamped it down about 33mm from the cutting line. This was the distance of the saw blad(skill) to the edge of the skill saw. That way I just kept it pushed up against the rail of the level and it made an almost perfect cut.
I dont see why I never tried it before, it would have helped alot in the past.
It helps to know how to do something many different ways even if you get the same result.
Enough blaber, I think the saw dust is getting to my head =/ ( just wait till i start glueing!)
I dont have any pics atm cuz i dont like pulling out my shitty camera when all the dust is around. So when im done with all my final cuts ill post up some pics and see how accurate they are.
