Do you think this design will work?

First I really **** at drawing but you should be able to get my idea. The port is 6" exits out the bottom of the box, turns and runs up the side of the box. The subs are on top firing up. Will this work? Will there be any problems with this design? The dimensions are w= 40", h= 17.875", d= 8.5" housing four 8's.

dude i am wondering what will this be going in an why would you want your port to be like that. that is too much work an prolly so many area's for port problems.

from what i gather you want subs up an port up so why don't you do a box that is sub up port up with a port the length of your box an bam.

Don't have the room, thats my main problem. Port has to be external. Box will not be sitting on the floor. If you think I will experience problems can you please be specific? And the work is no problem at all.

what is this box going in man you still haven't said that i mean i don't think its even practical, i mean the way i see if you have enough room for the port coming out the side why not for the port across the bottom.

The engine is in the rear. The back of the box will rest on the firewall, the seats will cover the front of the box. The subs take up the top of the box. The box will sit on top of the rear of the center console ( along with home made brackets). I have about 8" of room to the side.

okay i get the internal area or volume you don't want to take away but what i am saying is the area your using for external port is plenty for the port to be inside the box i mean 6" dia for port i mean **** that is big for some 8's.

an seing as those are 8's an your hearting for space i would go with .5 wood instead of .75 just my thoughts, but good luck with you build man sorry i couldn't have been of much help too ya lol but i hope it turns out good for you.

Thanks man I appreciate it. Dont forget its four 8"s on 1200 watts. And one 6" port gives me 28.26 square inches of port. Hell if I dont like it I'll try running one like you say ( I get mdf for free).

wow your my new best friend man are you in mississippi **** man i would murder for that stuff you know how many boxes i would build in a day hell in a week.

**** in an hour lol must be nice man.
