Do most people with speaker amps send speaker wire to front of car or to speakers

Do people that use an amp for powering their speakers instead of the head unit normally wire up directly to the speakers (in the car doors) or just connect amp speaker wires to the factory speaker wires behind the head unit?

I set mine up a while back and I hooked my amps speaker wires up to the factory wires behind the radio. At around 60 watts a speaker is it worth it to try to figure out how to bypass the factory speaker wires altogether and hook up directly to the speakers through the door boot? Is there much to gain in doing this?

Just trying to get some opinions on how most audio heads do this. Thanks!

I spliced into the wires right after the door grommets just to avoid all that mess. But yes i ran new wire from amp almost all the way to the speaker, maybe about a foot of stock wire left that im using. But if u do what i did its very easy to reconnect the wires to make the HU power them again so when its time to change cars i just need a few wire caps

i use all new wire..... didnt buy it just so i can use my stock wiring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif it is a bizmatch to get the wire thru the grommet tho

I always run new wire, or good used wiring for my speakers to the amp.I just leave the stock wiring in the location,as I may use it later for ripping out my good wire, and using stock for rewiring when I sell the vehicle.More than 90% of stock speaker wiring is low grade, and doesnt meet my expectations.

So does anybody have a quick walk through on how I can wire my 4 channel up to all my speakers directly? This is a major grey area even after reading everything I can on it.

The grommets (is that the rubber tube that connects wires between the car and door?) are accessible to put wires into for the front 2 doors, the back 2 don't have an opening (it's like the cars interior is blocking where the opening is supposed to be) How do I get access to it? And once I can get into it, is the whole process simply pushing a speaker wire through the tubing?

Thanks for all feedback
