Anyone use this for their amp turn on wire?

I personally would run a wire from your batt to the amp. Having a switch by your steering wheel to turn it on and off. Thats what i did when i first got my truck and had a stock HU. I did end up killing my truck one day because i left the amp on all night, but ive never seen one of thoughs before. Just make sure the switch is off when u get out lol

EDIT: I suggest using one with a LED to indicate on/off, makes it much easier on you. Just remember that there shouldnt be any lights on in your car when u get out haha

@ JoshC i read many people dont recommend that set up that you did. So i will stay away from it. thanx anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif plus not good with remembering stuff

You can tap it into the ignition switch or anything that powers up when you either turn the car on or turn the key to accessory
I wanted to do that but i dont have a soldering gun and t-taps arent good i heard so dont wanna do that.

Its not recommended becuase its up to you to turn it off, no fail safe. But meh, i never had an issue except that one day. But my amps are tied to my HU which leads to a switch now, so when i pull in i can kill my system. Lots of break ins and people stealin ***** in Waco tx lol Dont want nikkas know whats i got

Welll thoughs are pretty much your options, there all under $30.

Or just buy a aftermarket HU and be done with it, plus thoughs rca connectors for stock HUs **** azz

wont be using rca cables, i will be connecting my rear speakers right into my powered subwoofer.

i remember i had a switch on my REM wire to the amps.... not the power wire
yeah read it somehwere someone had a switch on the REM wire also and they connected the REM to the power cable. did you get your switch at autozone?

What? Rear speakers to a powered subwoofer??? Im not sure what you mean, but even then the amp in your powered sub would need RCA cables to play. Unless its a factory sub, but then ure sub wouldnt have power anymore

another question can the power cable and amp turn on cable run side by side or will that create some kind of noise?
