Sup people, I recently purchased an L5 sub and well I wanted to hook it up to my factory head unit in my 07 Toyota, anyway I was wandering how good will my subwoofer really sound?

I was told I was better off to install a deck, well I cant because the car is not 100% mine, anyway my real question is will my L5 Sub pound like its supposed to or since im using a Line Out Converter(Which I Never Have) will it sound like crap?

And what would be a good Line Out Converter to purchase? I've seen them for around $20 even $10, does price really matter? will it effect the output?

I need help asap before I can do anything to my car

I just installed a LOC in my buddies 2001 camaro hooked up to a pair of old school 8" solo's 200w to each and it sounds great.

If you don't plan on adding amped speakers (i.e. components) then you will be just fine. But if you do plan on adding speakers like that i'd suggest an aftermarket h/u.

Might i suggest this one.

I am assuming this is to go into an amp to run your speakers or an amp. If this is the case, will it work with stock deck power or is it different then a preout?
All it does is convert the speaker signals into an RCA signal so you can run an amp off of a deck with no preouts. You just hook up the speakers wires to one end and the RCA's to the other.

I have one because my preouts on my Pioneer went out and it works great. I can't tell any difference in sound compared to the preouts.
