Do I need to upgrade?

My current setup is ok, doesnt pound as hard as my last system but i think its because of the crappy box i made lol.

I used to have 2 kicker solobaric L7 12"s in a prefab sealed box powered off 2 rockford 501bds and that system was WAY louder than my current setup.

Would having a proper box make my system anywhere close to that? OR should I pick up another Revo and a bigger amp?

Well you're comparing completely different kinda woofers, the Revo is more SQ oriented and the L7s are more SPL oriented. Shit if u would have kept the L7s and just went ported off the SAZ-1500D that would of been louder than either setup.

But yea try building a proper bandpass box that will maximize the small cone area and the current power you have. PM 80inches about bandpass designs, he's pretty much a bandpass guru.

Hmmm ok cool, thanks. I mean if i can get anywhere close to my old setup with a sealed or bandpass which will be profesionaly built this time, then ill save my money and just keep my current setup

Sealed it simply won't have the output potential, either run a proper ported box or bandpass if u wan't the output.

Oh i see, hmmm i think it will be bandpass then. The website suggests a 4th order reflex enclosure, is that bandpass? Im thinking maybe ill just add another revo if i can find one for cheap.

4th order reflex is a 4th order bandpass. I'd say go for a 6th order, but that takes significantly more space.
