Would Odyssey or XS be wise choice, I dnt want to bugdet my power. I need it 2b dependable, for future projects.
I dont want the L7's but im n stuck situation rite now. Im do'n as much reading an researching as possible. This will b my first time go'n all out. Originally got kicker an boss stuff as a throw away kit, did hav my licence at the time.Sears Die Hard Platinum is same thing as Odyssey, better warranty far lower cost. I'd recommend all the way if nothing else but for the warranty.
Also L7 won't last long with a true 1500W.
Don't need to apologize to me. L7 can get pretty loud, but just saying don't expect them to survive that kind of power for long.I dont want the L7's but im n stuck situation rite now. I cud wire it at 4ohm an jus pump 1000w in 2 it. Would tht help stretch its life. Ima end up gifting it later.Don't need to apologize to me. L7 can get pretty loud, but just saying don't expect them to survive that kind of power for long.
I have a 2010 Jeep Patriot, no room n bak after 5-7cu box. So do i jus get tha biggest batt i cud fit under the hood? Im not sure about alt, its stock tho....im just researching but it seems lik il b go'n wit AmerBass SQ945 for hi's an VFL150.1 for lo's. I wan'a make sure my power supply is ready, wen im able 2 make my purchase. If need b il make room for another batt. I was hope'n for 2 12's but 1 15 will give me more trunk spaceAt Walmart they have a sealed marine batt (can't remember the brand) that is 129.00$ out the door has double top posts with 1400 cca and 120 amp hrs and comes with a 48 month free replacement warranty. Also 1 ot welding lead is running under 2$ a foot on eBay .. If you do not have room for an extra batt than replace the under hood batt with a huge xs or kinetic (like a 3400) and that will cover it... What kind of car is it?? I need to know what amp the alt is?!? But you should be good unless you drive a smart car with a 35 amp alt lol!!
If you're careful you can run any size amp on it, just be aware that you have enough on tap to break it if you're not paying attention.I cud wire it at 4ohm an jus pump 1000w in 2 it. Would tht help stretch its life. Ima end up gifting it later.
you gotta learn to set the gains right and settle for the loudness your gonna get with a proper setting. Most people blow stuff because they think they can get away with going a little bit overboard because the safe settings isn't loud enough for them.I cud wire it at 4ohm an jus pump 1000w in 2 it. The reason I suggested 1000w is bcuz @hispls say'd it wouldnt last long on 1500w. And isnt 4ohm safer, like i say'd il end up given it away as a gift around Jan. Jus wan'a giv my bro a decent sub. what i'm saying is, just because you have 1000, 1500 or 10,000, it does mean you have to use it all, you can control how much power you send to it with proper amp settings. The reason I suggested 1000w is bcuz @hispls say'd it wouldnt last long on 1500w. I understand that, i was also told that the L7 wouldn't last on 1500w. Now the zxs say's 1500w @2ohm and 1000w @4ohm. My question is would running on 1000w @ 4ohm help prolong the life of the sub? With the Gains set properly....what i'm saying is, just because you have 1000, 1500 or 10,000, it does mean you have to use it all, you can control how much power you send to it with proper amp settings.
Again, if your doing things properly it wont matter if your going 1000 rms 4 ohms or 1500 @ 2 ohms. Use a DMM, set the gains for 750 rms and dont go over that threshold and you'll be fine.I understand that, i was also told that the L7 wouldn't last on 1500w.
