Do I need an Optima yellow top?

So I'm hooking up an amp and new HU and am wondering if I'll need a new battery to go with it. Now I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to put one in but money is an issue. What I'm putting in is an Alpine MRX-V70. It's a 60 watts x 4 AND 250 watts x 1. Hoping that I don't need to get a new battery along with everything else, but if it's needed I guess I will. Just don't want dimming light as they are HID and I'm sure that the constant dimming wouldn't be too good for them.

As long as we're discussing electrical with this amp, what size power cord and fuse should I run for this amp?

Should be fine. I wouldn't recommend optima if you did need a battery though.

Quality 4 gauge will be fine. Fuse to the wire rating.

You should be fine. I ran 3600 watts RMS off the stock battery/alternator on my first system, and I was fine. (there really wasn't that much dimming, but I didn't know better)

A small 4 channel amp like that won't draw enough to dim your lights.

Just like Popwarhomie said, get some good 4 gauge

what kind of vehicle and whats the output of the alt? How old is the battery thats in there now? 4 ga is fine for that amp.
