Do I need a more powerful battery? Help on choosing one.

So I just bought two Alpine Type-R SWR-10D2 10" Subs, RMS 1000W, Peak 3000w. They are set to 4ohm.

I also bought a crunch DRA40502 2CH 4000W Amplifier

for my 1991 Nissan 300ZX.

I am using some generic battery from my province called Prairie Battery or something.

I run 4 gauge wiring through the car.

The audio shop here tells me I'll pretty much kill my battery constantly and recommend I buy a shuriken.

Do you guys think this is true? and if so which Shuriken should I go with? I'm trying to keep it relatively cheap as my stereo all in all is soon going to match what I paid for the car, I found these choices for the battery

I had to leave out the www and com in there due to new member restrictions(sorry mods
A little dash diming isn't going to bother me. I also don't intend to bump them to their fullest that often. I doubt it matters but I have Custom enclosures from Zenclosures.

yes that amp is junk ,sorry to tell ya ,if space is an issue then the american bass vfl 4480 would do nice for you .replace the battery under hood with a better one first ,then if you need an extra one ,you could get a way with a small one

not very efficient and doesnt do any where near rated power ,maybe 1000 rms if that

****, so if it's supposed to run 2000 Watts per channel at 2 ohm, 1000 watts per channel at 4 ohms, should I maybe run at 2 ohms if i'm only going to get half of what it says? I'm told underpowering is damaging over time

it only give max ratings not rms, its flee market junk

That amp you linked me is a bit expensive for me. Anything else you might know of? Space is quite an issue for me. I'm going to try to return this amp

What will that give me to each sub for RMS? Subs are set at 4ohm but I can jumper it to 2 I think

you can my cell is 650-483-4312 and 2200 rms at 1 ohm if your subs are d4 then you can wire them down to 1 ohm for full power
