Do I need a higher wattage battery for a W3??

I have a JL 12W3 that I had installed in my 96 chevy lumina. When it hit, my lights would dim. I now have an 07 Fusion. I haven't installed my sub yet. Do you think it will make my lights dim? Someone told me it was just because my car was old. But I don't want to mess up my alternator if I should get a higher wattage battery. Any advice will help.

If the setup in your new car dims, the cheapest thing to look into for your setup.... and I hate to say this... but a capacitor is the cheapest..

Now if you want to fix it properly either get a high CCA (cold crank amps) or AH (amp hour) battery. Or just buy an extra battery

wait a minute the subs would hit the car?

and you had them hooked to the battery?

you need the JIGGAFlux capacitator to fix all your dimming needs!!

Get a yellow or red optima or some sort of deep cycle battery to really fix your problem.

You should post what kid of amp you are using or people are gonna keep making fun of you.

The "JIGGAflux capacitor" is one of the best inventions of the 80's.They may be had for $49.95 plus tax. If you have the newer w3-3's you will not have to buy the "Penduloapendalo". in line restricting fuse modification adapter plate......sometimes,the factory batteries are not up to par.If you can get a battery with 700 CCA or more with a good reserve(minutes) an extra battery will correct your problem. Good luck.....Alpine50............
