Do i need 1/0 gauge??

Hey guys...sitting here contemplating whether i need to upgrade my wire...First off my battery is in the back of my car, and my amps sit pretty much directly above it. They are Soundstream 360.2 and a 600.2, I have them wired with 5 gauge, the thing is there is only about 2 feet of wire between the battery and the amps... You think i should upgrade? its gonna cost about 40 bucks to upgrade because i gotta get all new wire which is like 18 shipped from weldingsupply.com and then get new distribution blocks( one fused for the powerwire).

No, With 2 feet in distance, I think you'd be fine.

Plus with that distance if it was 5ga. it should be just fine. If it was the whole length of your car you would might want to upgrade. But in this case is not neccessary.

lol ok sweet! But sh1t i just looked at my ground and its only 9 gauge...? BTW i got this ampkit from my g/f inwhich she bought from walmart.. Should i upgrade the ground?

yes the ground needs to equal the power wire going into the amps. you have a fuse on the main power wire right?
