Digital Designs 40hz box tuning

Just remember that efficiency ratings mean almost nothing for a subwoofer. They are tested at 1khz, far above any freq range a sub will ever be expected to play. And once placed in an enclosure, the box itself and the relationship between the box and driver will play a much larger role in over all system efficiency than will the raw driver efficiency itself.
Which further proves my point more about the troll:p:

yeah, I said in MUSIC, not whatever crap you listen to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif lol
x2 Some guy repeating some stupid rhyme with tones playing in the background is NOT music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

All rap is definately not crap, it really just depends who you are listening to. Every genre of music has its crap artists, not just rap.. I am stuck hearing crappy rock, and some other music at work daily playing on a dam loop unfortunately.

99% of the new shit is crap IMO. Of course most of the younger kids like it, so I have a few songs for demos. I grew up on 80's old school stuff: house, hip hop, rap, dance club mixes, and also 80's metal, so that's mostly what I listen to.

I try to listen to the newer stuff at times, but 1-2 songs is usually more then enough to remind me that I don't like it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I wouldnt go as far to say 99% apparently you just dont know who to look for.. Im speaking more under ground less known artists. Also rappers like nas, and common, ect are well known, and far from crap. There is a ton of talent out there, you just need to know where to look. Also alot of the played out crap makes great demo songs, despite the lyrics being crap;)

About the below 40 comments, I could find probably many of every genre of music that dips way below 40 hertz. Have we forgot about organs, that have been around for years? They can go well below that point, and have been used in all types of music.

just because you can find some music, doesn't mean that MOST music contains frequencies below 40Hz.

No one said most music does, genius.

Most music is shitty, and only a small fraction is actually worth listening to more than once. This would, if anything, imply a positive correlation between songs that go below 40hz (rare) and songs that are good (also rare).

Like already mentioned above, No one said most music, and if they did, I certainly didnt. The fact remains that Tons of music will dip below 40 hertz. What are you going to say next? Movies that have octaves lower than 40 hertz sound like crap too?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

you people seem to be lacking comprehension.

I made the statement that most music doesn't contain much content below 40Hz!!!

you can't disagree with this statement, unless you're supporting the other side of the argument, that most music DOES contain content below 40Hz...

which it doesn't!

and you can't now start talking about movies! lol!!!! we're talking about car audio here, and MUSIC! not home theatre and movies!

nothing like clutching at straws to try and support ones argument.
