[BRAX Matrix SQ]

This is my 2nd custom SQ build created by Sound Evolution in Houston, TX. The system was built around (2) Sound Digital GAN 1500.5 Founders Edition Amps (#4 & #34) that I managed to get my hands on. I had the opportunity and pleasure of meeting up with the HKI USA Team (Sound Digital & Ground Zero) at MasterTech in Phoenix this past March when I was debuting my F250 Brax SQ build with Sound Evolution, MSC & Audiotec Fischer. We discussed what they recommended to tie into the 1500.5's for a high quality & fun SQ system and this is what I ended up going with for this build...

Second Skin Deadening - Cab Multi-Ply & 3-Ply Door Treatment

The setup is a 3 way active stage in the front with rear fill. A Flat SPL 10" sub is in a ported enclosure which was built into the Hybrid battery tray system under the rear seat, drivers side. There is another Flat SPL 8" sub that is in a stealth ported enclosure up & under the dash in the passenger foot well. The system has volume, clarity and is very impactful. The most important part, it's super fun to listen to!!

What is the benefit of using one 8" and one 10" sub versus two 10s?

Simply Space... it's a hybrid Maverick, so the battery is under the backseat on the passenger side. In order to utilize both of the 1000+W 5th channels on the GAN amps and to create a clean build without modifying or completely removing the battery & tool tray system. It was decided on 1 SPL Flat 10" to be built into the spare tire jack/tool compartment and the 1 SPL Flat 8" (per enclosure space requirements) fit perfectly under front passenger footwell that is ported under and through the dash.
