Digital Designs 1012b sub

I know DD is a pretty reputable company, but does anyone have any experience with this sub? I didn't have much luck finding any reviews online, I just know it's there lower end sub. Will it do good in a sealed box, if so about how much air space? I'm in the market for a single 12" that has better sq over spl, if that makes sense, and will be powering it with 450 watts. Got a guy locally selling a like new one for $120obo. Wondering how good of a sub it is and the value of it. Was about to purchase a Boston Acoustics 12 G3, cause I had 10" version and was real impressed with it, but came across this CL ad and thinking/wondering if that would be a better deal.
