I ran these off a SAZ 1500D, got pretty freaking loud. $275 shipped is a steal too!

Just an aluminum coil instead of the standard copper one. Basically in short it allows the sub to handle higher power levels more efficiently.

Hows your frequency response with the SPL coils? Music still sound decent?

sa's will own them in every way. I have heard both in person so thats from exp not just a BS statement..

Don't really have a budget... I don't have a job or money for them now so the lower the better. Right now i'm thinking about waiting for the new sa-8's to come out that way i could add 2nd saz and another pair down the road

If ur on a budget then the new v2's will not be what u want. They will cost around $180min once I found that out I went with the v1's and I am very happy. U can get them from electro for $90 plus shipping...
