Did rockford really fall off ?

lmao back in the day!!

i wish i was still young enough to consider back in the day ~5 years ago

rockford has always been pricey but its always been around too.. must be a reason its still here.. you dont last 25 years if you ****. even if you dont like em you should still respect the OG brands like kicker, pioneer, RF, orion, soundstream etc..

LMAO at the5 years ago comment.

Great point on the OS stuff. They helped get car audio where it is today. They where the innovators and have earned respect. Some of the companies have just fallen on hard times and had to turn elsewhere to stay in business.

Don't forget about the OS Lanzar stuff. They have **** near fell to Pyramid level IIRC thats who bought them out. Lanzar had some killer stuff like 50HC and original Opti amps. There subs where some of the loudest and best I heard back then. Then the kicker with the stiched surround wish they bring that model back out I liked the way they sounded. Got loud and where still very musical.IMO

I saw a commercial for some new SUV (the 'outdo everything' commercials) and it showed RF speakers. I assumed that meant they are going OEM.

Nothing new, back in like 2002 they started putting their names on some factory systems............ not sure about pre- 02

i ordered t2k for 850+tax aint too bad for an under rated 2kw amp IMO.. especially purchased locally from authorized dealer
and yea i saw it was an old thread but not till i got to the last page.. i read all this shit so ima reply lol
the t4k's can be had for cheaper than that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

RF is still top 3 in gross sales in the U.S.

That doesn't mean the performance is quite where it was, though. RF is obviously quite hampered by the growth of off-shore manufacturing, DIY installers, and online products from small companies willing to accept much smaller profit margins with less overhead.
