That'll sure put an woopen on a JL 1000/1. RF stuff is still good. They're my second choice aside from JL, hey they might even be my 1st. Nothing will replace that 1st experience I had with a Punch 40 so I guess there's still a little RF in me.

Old thread aside, I bought/used RF equipment in the mid 90's, alot of it was actually rather expensive.

We stopped selling it when some of our pre-fab boxes came in and the magnets were disconnected from the basket....3 times! Not to mention everything sounded awful and were VERY cheaply made. I like their old stuff but from 2004 til now............garbage. I've actually got an 851X that I've never used LOL

Back in the day they had quality stuff at a cheap price, thats when everyone in the school had the rockford p1's and p2 subs, now their stuff is overpriced.

P1's and P2's were not back in the day for RF, we are talking about their products from 10+ years ago. Even my 90's era 'bbq' RF punch amps, the famous old RF amps, are pre-dated by the really really old power 500's, power 1000's etc.
As for their speakers, when I started getting into RF, they had the Punch series, and the Punch Power series. I tried both. Loud. I believe they had just dropped the "Audiophile" line, which never really impressed me.
