did i get ripped off?? help me out guys. thx

36 thousand dollar car...i didn't want to mess up anything especially the navigation.
i have done other cars: civics, accords, crv, integras, trucks....but i didn't trust myself on this tl
i've never worked on a car with nav, so i don't know anything about it

I'd say its worth the money. Wiring and bypassing the stock amp to retain the navi function can be a nightmare. I'd pay that much just to have them deal with it. I used to own an Acura CL and now a Lexus IS300, both with navi and wiring is nightmare if you want to upgrade the stock system since the navi intergrates alot of stuff onto the stock system.

i always wanted my amp on my celing or on the pasanger side firewall for some reason. or under the rear seat becuase it would be easy as ****. but was always worried about heat. Found out the spare tire well was amazing if you had some 'squerl (sp?) fan's)

it's worth the money.... thats what shops charge. i'm also sure there is some kinda installation warranty.

you have to remember, everyone here who say it's a rip-off, wouldn't pay retail for a fuse-holder..... let alone pay for an install. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I guess we're all spoiled by the internet prices, but I would agree with you there about the going rate of shop installs. For me, it's not so much about the money, but the pride that goes into installing your own stuff. That's the best part about being a man, hanging out with the fellas working on the car. Having your stuff installed by a shop is like your wife calling a plumber cause you couldn't fix it yourself. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

thanks!
The thread isn't too old, and I think it's a good idea to see where the person went to get his stuff installed.

its almost a month old, figured it was pretty much over and done by now...

i just want to hear from the guy who has them in his ride, see whether he likes em or not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
