96 BMW 328 Upgrade Question(s)

Hey guys, first off with an easy Question I have an ARC Audio 1500-XXK Amp powering one Alpine TYPE R SWR-1242D 12" Dual 4 Ohm SUB. My first question, is just one Sub ok? Or Can I hook up 2 Alpines to this Amp? I don't want to overpower the single Sub, nor do I want to Under-power 2 Subs.

Now my more important questions, ALL of my speakers are blown in my BMW, it has 4 4" speakers and a pair of 5 1/4". Should I stick with the same sizes on all of them to avoid difficult modifications? Also is there a huge sound difference if I went with a Coaxial 5 1/4" between a Component.

I'm looking for midrange gear, I don't want to spend too much, but just something better than the crackling crap I have in there right now, Any companies to stay away from as far as speakers go?

I had a 328 convertible before my m3... man was the sound bad

Yeah you're telling me. This car is a headache. I still have to get some Dynamat, and soundproof the trunk because there is SOO much buzzing from the Bass. I got a Decent Eclipse Deck in there.

I guess my only real question is, can my eclipse power 6 speakers or should I run a separate amp to those?
