did i get ripped off?? help me out guys. thx

$425 @ $60/hour labor rate comes out to be about 7 hours...I think its about right on 'cause I'd bet they charge more than $60/hour for labor....
well he told me JUST THE rear speakers ON MY car will take 2 hours alone because he has to take out the panel or something

if its like the civics ive torn apart, u have to take the rear deck off... which means u have to take the sail panels off, which means u have to take a trim piece off behind the door...

no clue lol, i dont even dare to take apart anyting out of this car...i just brought it 1 and half month ago.

i'd say that's a little steep. Maybe because im a cheap @ss, or because i can install my own equipment. Also, duckfart has a good idea. make sure everythign is done to your standards. and i doubt it take 2 hrs to take out the back panel. they have manuals to tell 'em where all the screws and clips are. many shops love to BS to those they think dont' know how to install themselves.

Well just make sure they do a helluva good job . Dont pay till everything is exactly the way u want it.
yeah, i'll do that for sure. well ..i guess if anything goes wrong i can just go straight back to them...unlike some backyard mechanic right? lol

i just think its **** up on how they are playing me...

they quoted me 125 to install sub/amp/jl clean sweep.....

and when i wanted to install speakers...they added 300 basically...

Dude, you drive an Acura TL, so they probably think your made of money or something. I really dont think 420 is that bad for it in a car like that, but who knows really. When I had my cavalier done last year, I spent 200 bucks for a custom amp rack 2 12's, custom box, all new wire, deck, and 2 sets of componets and one set had to be custom fitted and they had the car for over 10 hours. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

A Few things

They probably had to re run all of the wires in the car, or probably did anyways

Install and change shit over tothe cleansweep

Clean install

Here's what's important - does it sound good, and are you happy? As long as it was done right and you're happy, then it's worth that money bro, straight up. Probably on que with my local shop and they do pretty good work
