Design's welcome......

This is for my boat. Its going to be made out of 3/4" plastic composite board. The dimensions the box has to fit into are

16" Tall

26" Long

13 3/4 wide

I can prob go 2-3 inches more on the length. The sub i have is a 10" with a 5 1/2" mounting depth. I would prefer ported as this will be in a hatch directly below the deck and could use the extra sound ouput. Designs are appreciated as my only knowledge is with sealed boxes and not ported.

Plastic composite board?

Use MDF and coat it in Resin; that'll insure it's waterproof.

You probably don't want ported, as that will enable moisture, or salt (depending where you use your boat) into the interior of the box, which will warp the wood (if the inside isn't coated in resin) and damage/rust/short the sub or any connections.

Only choice, unless you're using a marine sub, is to go sealed; just pick a driver that responds well in sealed enclosures.

The sub is marine grade. Completely sealed. The last box i made for the boat was MDF covered in resin but i wasnt too confident in it holding out moisture. The composite board is essentially PVC board. I guess i could go sealed but was looking for more sound output.
