Design my 3000gt!!

Alright guys so about a half a year ago my car got broken into and all of my audio was stolen. Since then I have been at school and just haven't even thought about what to do with the car. Its a 94 Mitsu 3000gt (the Vr-4 model for all you go fast guys:driving...but anyhow. I know for a fact that im going to throw a double din touchscreen in as far as the headunit goes and I already have a pair of 6.5 components for the front (the PG RSD's, figured i'd give them a try). I have a Kicker 850.4 amp, and I don't really plan on runnin a sub frankly because the rents won't let me take the car back to school if i do put on in. (Still have my BNIB 15" Memphis M3 MOJO in my closet ....So how should i get some bass in the car to go with the components? The rear speakers have slots for a pair of 6x9's, but I'm not sure what to do. I was thinkin maybe cut out more of the slots and find a way to throw some 8's in there an maybe slap a grill over them so the rents think their jsut standard door speakers? Or should I just find a pair of 6x9s with good bass?

Yeah I really really am going to miss the bass. But have you had any experience with those tangbands? Never even heard of them? Decent price too. And yeah man I'd love to put the sub in there and call it a day, but I'm out of state at school which is like 25k a year. The rents have pretty much taken over insurance and car payments to help me out, so throwing a sub in would definitely not go well.

Haha..well I'm finally getting my windows tinted this weekend (B-day present). So I figure as long as they don't hear some rediculous bass pounding, setting off car alarms, then a thief wouldn't bother. Plus i just treated myself to a nice viper alarm system:thumbsup:

Alright guys, headin out to dinner down in MD. Seems like most of you think i should go with some 8's.. If you guys have some time try and find me a pair. Decnt price, excellent bass, and remember I'm only gonna be using my 850.4 so keep that in mind.

The stealth box is a perfect solution. They won't let you put your subs in there but they will let you spend mucho bucks on a touch screen HU? Umm...thats pretty stupid imo. They must feel great that you're dropping hella cash on your stereo while they shell out your car & insurance payments. Could probably pay for a couple payments with the money you're dumping into the HU alone.

You will probably get in more trouble with the tinted windows than you would bumping your 15s. In my city, tint is a cop magnet. Especially on older sports cars that they know young kids drive...

Think you should negotiate with your rents on the above because it's idiotic.

I believe you should look into those ED subs that kid has or I believe they aslo make a 6.5" sub that may work better in your case. There was a kid that had two of them in a huge box, but sounded good. Good luck!
