How does this box sound. 37w x 14h x 22d, 4 cubes @ 34.5hz with 62.5 sq in of portPeople try things like stuffing blankets or towels around the box.
I would say first try it with nothing. Then get a feel for how it
sounds. If you bumping with the trunk open makes it significantly
louder, your losing a lot to cancellation. Then try to move the box all
the way to the back of the trunk, but still facing forward. See if that
improves the sound in the cabin with the trunk down. Then scootch
the box forward again and try to stuff towels or sheets into the gaps
tightly. See if that helps things.
If none of those things work out, and your sure your losing to cancellation;
move the box all the way to the passenger side wall and faced backwards.
with about a 10" gap between the speaker/ports and back wall.
Your trying to get a bigger gap between the box and the driver side wall
for the wave to bounce back through to the cabin. Without a wall around the
enclosure, that should be the loudest option with such a big box.
Also, if you do this, you may want to consider removing the rear fill speakers,
in rear firing sutups that can help a little.
Or pay Rashad to design you a 14" tall woofer up port back box, that should work
too. If you know what your doing you can also modify a shorter (14" or less) front
firing design to fire up with your 15.
