Design me a box

nope. Thanks anyways thou. It would be cool if i could get away with a 30$ box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I think that box is right at "to tall" for your trunk.

It will fit, but choke itself off pointed backwards or

cancel itself out facing forwards. But hey give it a try.

You'll do better if you try to make shift "wall it".

Basically the box is plenty big to choke itself off, yet

pointed forward it still will allow a lot of waves behind

itself. Those waves behind it will bounce back off of the rear

of the trunk and come back out of phase, thus canceling

out the forward momentum wave.

Ummm so if i dont want to wall it should i not face it into the cabin. I mean my trunk is 21" high and the box is only 17". If i decide to wall it how should i go about such a thing.

People try things like stuffing blankets or towels around the box.

I would say first try it with nothing. Then get a feel for how it

sounds. If you bumping with the trunk open makes it significantly

louder, your losing a lot to cancellation. Then try to move the box all

the way to the back of the trunk, but still facing forward. See if that

improves the sound in the cabin with the trunk down. Then scootch

the box forward again and try to stuff towels or sheets into the gaps

tightly. See if that helps things.

If none of those things work out, and your sure your losing to cancellation;

move the box all the way to the passenger side wall and faced backwards.

with about a 10" gap between the speaker/ports and back wall.

Your trying to get a bigger gap between the box and the driver side wall

for the wave to bounce back through to the cabin. Without a wall around the

enclosure, that should be the loudest option with such a big box.

Also, if you do this, you may want to consider removing the rear fill speakers,

in rear firing sutups that can help a little.

Or pay Rashad to design you a 14" tall woofer up port back box, that should work

too. If you know what your doing you can also modify a shorter (14" or less) front

firing design to fire up with your 15.

------------ edit ^^^^ while pointing the port backwards

Makes sense thanks for explaining that to me.

I'm going to try this box first sense i already have the wood cut for it and if i cant get it to work i'l get a box designed.
