i been useing bass box pro and i just cant get the ports right. i made the box 3.50 cube feet it 26 long x 18 deep x 16 high. the speaker is a 15w3 . i plot it and it says at 50hz it does 121db . that at the suggested tune by bass box . what should it be tuned to

50hz is too high of a tuning freq, for a normal use vehicle.

are you looking for more spl? or a flatter freq response?

if youre looking for spl, when looking at the graphs, you want a high peak curve on the gain graph, while looking at the spl graph for the spl numbers.

be aware that the vehicle cabin will increase the dbs of some freqs while it muffles other. so you want to take that into consideration when tuning.

if looking for sq you want a flat curve and you want to cover freqs down to like 25hzs. any thing below that you cant hardly hear, but mostly feel.

the tuning freq is selected along with box size. they both play a part on how the sub is going to sound. so careful selection of both is critical to get the sound youre looking for.
