dented speaker cone

HUH....well id just dent the other side of it so that it looks the same. Maybe youll discover some great new cone design that makes your sub louder and sound better somehow....

Just playin, howd you dent it?

Take a straw, put one end against the center of the dent and one end to your mouth. Now **** and pull back on the straw at the same time. You may need to use a little chewing gum as a seal between the straw and the dustcap. Heh....just a little idea that popped in my head. :p

hey sorry all, i been tied up with work and school. what happened was:

i was pulling the speaker from the box and it hit the side of my amp and dented...but, i just took my exacto knife and carefully cut around the dustcap...and the shit just kinda popped off, so i pushed the dents out and i glued it back on...it was alot easier than i thought it would be, and now it looks almost new.....not really, but yea, lol

If all of the above failed, I resort to super glue gluing something to the middle of the dent, then pulling it out ...
Make sure you use something that 1) doesn't cover very much area, but covers enough area to stick, 2) won't break when you pull it, and 3) is cuttable or sawable or sandable so you can remove as much of it as possible from the cone.
...but for next time...i really like that idea...thankz man
