Dell laptop selection help

Dell XPS m1210- $750-1200

but i have no idea what should be in the laptop...aka...video card how much ram, memory etc...and suggestions from you computer geeks out there

i want it to be vista capible too...

p.s. no on the e1705...too big of a screen...

What do you intend to do with the computer?

Obviously stuff like interwebz, word processing and the like, but do intend to use it for gaming, pic storage/editting, video storage/editting?

as of right now im not in school soo im just chillin here at work so illl be playing a lot of games...i surf a lot...music...videos...pix...when school starts back up again ill be on it a lot, saving documents and such...

btw what is a good video editing software?

Alright, right now I have a 17in a 15in a 14in and the 12in models(What can I say, im additcted to my computers and they all have a purpose) I cannot for the life of me use the 12in model. The Keyboard is sooo small. My girlfriend uses it when she travels other wise it just sits here...

The 15in is nice, But i chose to go with the XPS M140(14.4in) which would now be an Inspiron model. I love it. Perfect size and weight. Im not sure if they quit offering it as of lately or not...but look around ebay you can find brand new ones with full warrantys..

Just thought I would throw in another suggestion size wise..

If you buy a dell...Its going to be Vista Capable as thats the OS thats going to come with it.

Id go with at least 1gig of RAM. I use 2 gigs and if they have a good deal going, might as well upgrade.

Get a semi big hard drive, but don't worry about going to big, Its much cheaper and convenient to have a large Ext. Hard Drive.

Ill go through the options for you later after i take my nap...
