I have a 84 Grand prix with a Firebird 265 engine in it and right now its not quick enough for me + im sick of ricers trying to race me because of my flowmasters..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

My first option is to get a Chevy 454(not sure if it will fit but have all the tools to make it work if theres a chance) rebuild with performance carb, intake,Cam,headers, rockers, and get heads later...

My second option is a Chevy 350 rebuild with performance carb, intake,Cam,headers, rockers, and heads.

Now the cheapest option would be the 350 but would the power difference be worth the price by getting the 454?

Also anybody have any suggests on which ***** I should look into?

****.. I forgot..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Mods could you please move this.

512 crate....

did you mean a 502ci? or the 572?? I dont recall of GM ever making a production 512ci. I could be wrong. if you have a link or info let me know.

To the OP: the 454 BB is one hell of a motor, but not practical at all for your application. The Price difference also doesnt make it a worthwhile choice. You can pull 450HP+ off a 350 with no problem. If you have the tools or a machine shop .060 over with a stroker crank and you get a 383ci. People are pulling solid 600-700hp on 383 strokers on pump gas no problem. the potential is there with the 350.

Thanks for that great info!! I will have to look into a 383.

what rear end gears. with highway driving and a non overdrive ****** your rpms are gonna be fairly high. big block won't like that very much.
Yea. The BB is out of the question.
