THE WHOLE THING!!!
No argument there, jet engines are loud. I've been to an airport before. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifDb is Db, yes lower fq hurts you more, but stand under a 747 when its landing or taking off you'll see what I mean, its friggen loud.
Yea, I know installers who are now deaf from playing around with too many 150 db systems, your not immune.
What I was stating is that 140 dB @ 10000 hz is much more damaging than 140 dB @ 40 hz. This is common knowledge.
So actually your post is incorrect unless you meant to agree with me that HIGHER frequencies hurt more/are more damaging.
I can't think of one person that would stand next to a jet engine without going deaf basically instantly, but thousands of people will listen to a 140 dB car stereo all day long and never have hearing problems.
