Can you solve it?
The only thing I agree with is that AMD and an ATI chipset will make for a better combination.Whynot go w/ the AMD quad core instead for the price? Oh.... not aware of that are ya? Yeah... AMD and Intel have their percs each, but overall if you are going to try to go with an ATI video card on an Intel platform you will be disappointed in the future when you cannot add a second card on to take advantage of the crossfire. AMD has held the gaming side of the Intel vs AMD war for quite a while and has not rolled over and disappeared with the Intel Core 2 chips out. Their quad core systems are a dramatic improvement over Intel's attempts and wow.... only $239 for the high end one right now. Come on... get a clue and do some real research on yoru own before you just jump to follow the bandwagon. Scalability is a key role in today's computers and mixing up Intel and ATI products is a very poor decision.
But lets look at the plus to AMD, a true quad core where core 2 is just two cores put into one die. A lower overall price. cons - uses more power than intel. Slower than intel (actually comparable to the price reduction that they offer ie 5-10% cheaper also 5-10% slower). I have not used the Phenom yet, but I did just put a q6600 (intel) into my wifes pc. It runs great (very oc'd) and no issues. Only cost 260 dollars and I'm running at 2.8 ghz right now.
Don't think I'm an intel fanboy either, this is the first intel I have had (other than mobile)

Also, toms hardware has a review of trying to run the phenom on 10 different am2 motherboards. Almost all of them failed. So much for turn-key and future use.
