Decent DSP

Are there any decent DSPs out there without spending $800+? Im not looking for the best of the best, but you ask for recommendations anywhere and youre usually given a link for a $1400+ DSP.

Im looking for something that isnt straight junk, but not super high end. Does anyone have any suggestions?
