P.S. I want to keep this one under $1100

get a better power supply.

the 12 volt rails are only 19 amps. if your gonna do alot of gaming like you said

you would probably want something around 25 or higher.

nice case that thing is like a wind tunnel

why are you building AMD? Intels prices are lower, and their products have a better architecture, and performance. Wait for the 45 nm procs, and get one of those with the new Intel chipset X48 I think.

Is this one better?

Im pushing my budget with anything more expensive.
hold on ill find you something good. no more than 150?

this only has 2 12v rails but they are 22 and 24

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148022

this only has 1 12v rail but it is 34a

http://www.xoxide.com/sintek-500-sli-power-supply.html

this one is ok 4 12v 18a 18a 20a 22a

http://www.xoxide.com/kingwin-mach1-800w-psu.html

but you know if your really going to get into gaming you should probably save up for something like this.

thing is a beast.

or this one.

1 12v rail at 70a

I just finished a pc for my wife and it FLIES. She does photoshop, gaming, things very similiar to you.

Q6600 Quad core

4gb DDR2 memory

7900GT video card (direct X 10 is better, but this was 100 dollars)

Abit max 32 motherboard (can run 32 gbs of ram)

Orb cooler

Antec case

raid array (already had the hard drives)

700 watt modular powersupply

Let me find the receipt, but I paid 850 ish without case, hard drives and optical, you could easily do a system for under 1100.

Her pc FLIES.

Also if I were you I would do some reading over on This Site every so often they do a article for the best bang for the buck on all different parts. Tomshardware is an awesome site, it also has a really well documented benchmarking charts.

Because I am a noob and dont want to have to even mess with overclocking. I simply want to assemble it and just make sure it stays dust clean and cool.

The multiplier is supposedly unlocked making it good for Overclocking, but just raising the FSB on an Intel CPU can get you 4+ ghz and faster ram.
Over my head.

Yes no more then 150-160 for the power supply, or I have to skimp on something else.

I really dont think I need a quad core or 4gb of ram. I think a decent duel core and 2gb will be plenty. My dual core laptop runs almost all of teh above just fine, except it has shared memory...so gaming is difficult.
