Decent entry level priced rifles?

Werd.
My next .22 will be a semi-auto Ruger... After I find a nice, used Matthews or Bowtech bow.
If your interested in hearing, check out the new Fred Bear line of bows. I love mine and outshoot my friends bowtech destroyer and my brother in laws bowtech outlaw with ease. At 1/2 the price. You can get a bear and ruger for the same price as a Mathews lol

This.

Bear's bows are great.

good lookin' out. I'll check out Bear. my cousin that i've grown up hunting with loves his Matthews (has around $1500 in it with accessories). but dude is more accurate with his bow than a rifle within 50yds. and dude is a **** good shot to boot. i assume Matthews is outta my range, but i'd love to find a steal.

I meant his traditionals haha I don't shoot compound.

Be sure to shoot a tec riser before making your decision. I know i will never own a non-tec riser in a compound ever again.

As far as caliber, .22 is bar none the cheapest caliber to plink with. It is plentiful, and can be found in various forms. Walmart white box bulk is the best buy, but many makers produce higher quality, more consistent loads.

For rifles, the Ruger 10/22 is the most widely recognized. The 10/22 also offers the largest aftermarket options. But for out of the box accuracy my vote goes to the Marlin model 60. I absolutely love that **** gun.

I have a 10/22 love it and the price off .22 is nothing, also have remington model 700 .243 absolutely love it and a winchester model 70 .270 its a great gun but i absolutely love my remington and 243 isn't terribly priced we also reload ours so its even cheaper. You also need to watch out on that .223 some ammo can get extremely expensive with them because its so widely used for competition and varmint guns but you can get military surplus or just basic FMJ bulk pretty cheap. I would suggest a .243 or .270 Remington great price great gun and you can get a hell of alot more use out of those calibers over a .223.

my small bore target rifle is a savage mkII bull barrel. I had a richards microfit put on her and she is a tacdriver.... I had some work done on the trigger though, it goes off with the pulse in my finger if you can believe that.

and btw... compound bows are teh geyness. self bows and korean horn bows are where its at. oh yeah and english warbows are also the shiznit.... anybody here think that they can pull a 120 lb warbow??
