Deadening to SPL Gains in my Jeep

Those are Harrison Labs Flux Caps -- they step up my 12v system to charge my 16v bank at 17.9 volts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I normally have an SAX-50.4 in here for mids and highs but I took it out for now.
Can I get some more info on that flux cap? price wise? I've been hearing about them and I want to put one in the civic lol

damp is the only stuff i use in my car and I didn't have it metered or anything before hand but I can tell that the sound is louder inside, granted I have the whole trunk, pillars, rear deck done and all four doors completely sealed

Placebo.....you was prepared to think it was louder than when you were done you made yourself believe it was louder.

You wouldnt be able to hear a diff of a few tenths to the ear

I'll make a new one when I'm done with just the information itself so people searching later on won't have to dig so much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the damplifier is nice i hear.
obviously works.

is Raamat worth using in your opinion Jacob? have you used it?
Yep, I've used it. While I don't like it as much as Damplifier... if you are on a budget I would take it over pretty much any other deadener I've used that is not Damplifier. It worked quite well when I used it before to dampen door panels - although, that was not for an SPL application like this.

My dampener got here early - it is here today!

In the mean-time the Jeep needs to be ready for two shows this weekend so I am putting four 1500Ds in for that purpose.

My previous best score with a single Nightshade 15" with two 3000s @ 1/2 ohm (similar power to the four 1500s @ 1/2 ohm each) was 153.0 dB.

We'll see how I compare with the dampening done so far. In order to keep to the scientific method I won't apply more dampener until I get back from the shows and re-install the 3000D. But I can go back at the end and compare at high power once again once all the dampening is done!

I am 1.3 dB louder than my previous best ever score with a single Nightshade 15!!!

Not bad if you ask me... not bad at all.
