E39 BMW Build - 15" CVR @ 33Hz, 500W RMS

Today I'm going to start on the enclosure for a 15" CVR. The box is 3.1 ft^3 and tuned to 33Hz. It's going in the back of a E39 bimmer. It will be powered by a MRP-M500 amp @ 500W RMS. I'll keep you guys posted on pics!

I'm going to try and find some carpet that matches the interior perfect. My car has grey interior so it shouldn't be too hard to find a match.

I'll have some pics up tomorrow of the build.

It's RE Audio's subwoofer box calculator... Here.

your box wont be 3.1 cu ft at 33, more like 2.95 cu ft at 31hz. the RE calculator dosnt factor in woofer displacements, so you have to

Little update on the build. Box is ready to go in. Power/Ground wire is ran. Thing is a b.i.t.c.h to get it though; barely fits through the trunk opening.

D4 wired to 2 ohms

Well, I'm pretty much finished with the install. All I have left to do is tune the amp, securely fasten down the box, and try and de-rattle it. This thing is LOUD. Much louder than my previous system (12" L7 in a sealed box).

This is as close as I could get to matching the carpet color.

Don't you need that space for sound/air pressure since its towards the lid? Because my box is tall like your so i sealed it into the cabin.
