i have a 99 accord sedan, im using....

alpine 9887

oz 180cs

75x2 cadence amp

have 2 door packs of Damp Pro (did the front and rear doors), have the Oz mid in the stock front door spot, the tweet is about 6 inches above the mid...

just fininshed getting it all done, tweaked etc etc. i even caulked around the 1" baffles in my doors and now my vocals dont sound pinpoint centered and my time correction off my deck doesnt seem to work like used to. think im getting a ton of cancellation cause the mids dont seem to hit hard like they did. somethins wrong

tomorrow im going to pull the door panels off, run a bunch of test material and watch the mids, double check that i didnt wire one of the sides out of phase or i might try wiring one side out of phase (cause i unhooked the speakers to scope my amp recently and i might have rewired them up wrong)

any thoughts, tips, ideas, anything... somethings not right

thanks

I find that if you can't get the vocals centered no matter how much you TA, then a mid should have it's phase/polarity switched.

It might also be a balance issue.

well, i can center the vocals, but theyre not pinpoint like someones standing right in front of me (like it use to be) it sounds spread out, like 2 or 3 feet wide. its hard to explain, i guess

thanks tho, ill play around with the polarity tomorrow

DUDE!! YOU HELPED ME!!!! ITS FIXED!!! LOL

you got me thinkin about my Oz xover. i was thinkin i accidentally switched the polarity switch on it so i went outside (froze my balls off) and checked but it was fine but i looked at all the wires on the xovers, and one of the inputs was switched (my fukin dumbazz)

THANKS!!! ITS AWESOME NOW!!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif im so happy now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

get two more channels of amplification and lose that xover //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

or 4, so you can bridge the mids, and be able to adjust right and left input sensitivity.
