If I dont have a on/off switch in my power cable to my amp, will that drain my battery when the car is off?

If you look on your amp, there is a "remote" terminal next to the power and ground. That connects to your head unit's remote or ignition and will turn on the amp when you have the key to the "on" position. So no, the amp will not drain the battery because the amp will not be on.
