dd rep's setup

talked to a dd rep @ modz distributing.... he said this setup would pound in a extra can pick up.... what do u guys think......

modz rep / tech..............My suggestion:

2 x DD1000 Series 12” SVC 4 ohms. Wired in parallel to give you a 2 ohm mono load.

Build a box 38” wide, 20” tall and 14” in depth out of 0.75 MDF with lots of triangle bracing, and cross wall bracing (I’ve oversized the box by 5% to accommodate lots of wood bracing)

The box must have a port of 8” x 8” (or equivalent) and must be 16” long.

Put the subwoofers facing upwards as well as the port.

Put a Digital Designs M1 amplifier to power the 2 subs.

That’s gonna be one killer sub system.

will it be... will it out match a single mtx 9500 12" with the same amp..... HELP!!!!

IDK being DD's lowest line of woofers compared to a MTX 9512, The MTX could be louder depending on the install / whatnot.

First of all, DD's are great subs but that series will not be louder than the MTX. If you went with like 2 3512d's in a big ported box then def. yeh! If i were you i would step up to 35 series or atleast 25 series. You will be alot more happy with those lines. Good luck and no matter what...you will love DD.
