New jeep system

I am about to be puting a system in for my brothers truck. It is a 97 Jeep Cherokee. He listens to only rock and alternative, no rap. So he system needs to be set up more for sq. He still wants to have some bass but more sq, 70sq/ 30spl. Here are some things i was thinking about getting. Tell me what yall would do?????

-Subs (planing on going with one 12 ported)

MTX 8500 (anyone heard the new ones i have read they are getting better)

-Componets (NEED HELP HERE, i am more spl and dont know much about this)

recomendations please....but on a budget here ,I believe they are 5 1/4

same with amp for them

-Amps

MTX4501 Thunder ? (heard new stuff about the new mtx and for the prices its decent stuff)

-Some 2 channel for the componets......???

Either the MTX or the Alpine....ive heard both in plenty of installs and in good installs there a toss up.

I suggest you go to a few places to listen to components, theres soooo many different kinds that you just have to sit down a listen to them all and decide what you want out of your components.

For Sq depending on budget get Focal Access comps and a Zapco I-force to drive them. I know that sounds expensive but if you forgo the authorized dealers your looking at no more than $300.... and they will blow you away... ohh and do you deal with ebay?

I have pretty much narrowed the system down to everything but the comps. Heres what i am planning on doing so far....

Thats the whole system except the comps..now i just have to find some good comes that cost right around $150 that will run good at 75watts.

Those Focals Acidic metions look really nice for right at 150 (Access).

Anyone else have some input on some comps.....I perfer silk tweets...metal gets a little harsh to me... Thanks
