DD 2512s Vs. RE SE 12s

Never even heard a DD sub (maybe soon though) so I can't say anything on that... but I know that RE SE 12's will get plenty loud for most applications. I had mine in 2 feet^3 tuned to ~32hz and it was pretty freakin nice.

I've heard basically every DD sub except the Z and 9100, and they can all get loud, and really are worth the price if that's what you're wanting. The 500/1000/1500/2500 are pretty hard to beat for their price...again, this is for spl apps. DD makes the most reliable and bulletproof subs I have ever had the pleasure of owning/testing/listening to.

Now on the SQ side, everything up to the 3500 line is decent in the SQ department. I've heard great things about the SQ of the 9100 series, but again I have not heard the sub for myself. The 9500/9900 series are pretty much all-out SPL subs though.

Hope this helps some...

The DD2500's have a quicker, punchier sound than the RE SE's. I prefer the DD2500's.

Both the SE's and 2500's will handle the power you have on hand, but the DD's will easily take more.

My co-worker runs 2 DD2515's on an Autotek mm2000.1d and they are begging for more. Amazingly punchy bass.
