Yes and No, Hook up the DSP then set the gains, then use the DSP software. Most DSP's will have a higher output voltage then a HU, so it needs to be installed at the time of setting gains. So set the gains with the dd-1 first.then use the DSP ?

That's a nice DSP. That doesn't sound like a bad plan. But gains are not super hard to set. You can get 90-95% with just your ears.So . No real answer? I have a 810 with output control so should I turn up the out put on the 810 till the distortion light comes on the set the gains on the amp ?

Ok, since you have a DSP with adjustable output, instead of a 2 part process, you would have a 3 part process. Turn up HU to max undistorted. Turn up DSP to Max undistorted, turn up the amp to max undistorted in that order. So . No real answer? That's what I did , I'll play with it for awhile and see how I like it .Ok, since you have a DSP with adjustable output, instead of a 2 part process, you would have a 3 part process. Turn up HU to max undistorted. Turn up DSP to Max undistorted, turn up the amp to max undistorted in that order.
