what best daily batt (for the back) in that price range for @2500-3000watts? as of now i have a stock batt up front with a 200amp alt on the way. looking towards batcap2000, kinetik 2000, or deka g31. possibly a northstar if i can find out around that price range.

Just in case you didn't get the point of that last statement, lead is the necessary part of a battery to make and hold a charge. The less lead you have, the less charge you can make. So, if you go cheap and buy a smaller battery than you need, you will not be able to make the charge you need. There is no magical way to produce more energy without more lead in a lead acid battery. It just so happens that lead is the most costly part of building a battery as well. So when one battery is half the weight of another, it should be about half the price as well.

And for what it is worth, none of those batteries you mentioned will for sure support 3000W RMS. The group 31 batteries should give you about 2500W RMS of help. It will be close and will depend on the use and application. It might work for some who do not blast their stuff with the engine off. Just know that if you go cheap on the batteries, you will be somewhat limited in how you can play your system.

If you are looking at this as a long term purchase I would have to tend to agree with the lead comments that were made. Go too small eventually they die faster!

it;s not often i bump with the car off, mostly driving around and a comp here and there for shits and giggles. i guess it's mostly down to the batcap2000 or the deka for daily since i can get each at about the same price.(thanks loop)
