crossover settings on deck & amp

since i can set my crossover to my sub amp on my deck, & i choose 80hz, should i just set the crossover on my amp to max since its only getting 80hz anyway from the deck or should i put it to 80hz to match the decks output

i know this is a old thread but i wonder the same thing do i turn my crossover on the sub amp all the way up then adjust crossover points with my hu or do i try to match freq this is harder to do without any numbers on the amp ,it was easier to tune my high amp caues i can just set it to flat and the hu takes over from there,also on hifonics amps where exactly is the 4 volt position on the gain since there amps dont come with numbers is it 12 oclock or a lil under
